If you’re ready to trade your blame for personal responsibility, and you’re ready to challenge your spiritual maturity in a way that enables you to grow, this is the book for you. The book opens with a dedication to “all readers who want to understand.” The title admonishes us to “Stop watering dead plants” because we’ve all been guilty of trying to breathe life into a dead relationship or something we want that just isn’t good for us, or even being blessed by God. We need to put our energy, time, and faith into things that God blesses, and water the things that the Holy Spirit has brought into our lives. This book is rich with thought-provoking wisdom from someone who has lived a life of personal responsibility. If we want to understand how to live in peace with ourselves and others, and water the things that bring us life, we need to listen to the wisdom of Jesus and those who put Him first in their lives.
As with all of Norm’s books, the cover art is another work by his late brother, Kane Sawyer, and is titled, “Dysfunctional Family.” All of Norm’s books are rooted in understanding and compassion toward others, and I highly recommend all of his books for teaching and personal use.
