Proverbs 31:31 Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
Adoration: Love and respect (someone) deeply. Worship; venerate. Psalm 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
Who but Christ is worthy of adoration? The words in a praise song struck my heart this Sunday when I heard myself say with conviction, “I will adore you.” Yes, that is something we can all do. We can say from our grateful hearts, “I will love and respect you Lord Jesus for who you are and for all you have done for us.” With enthusiasm, I will love the Lord with all my heart, mind, strength, and soul. Psalm 18:3-a I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised.
To adore oneself is hubris and to adore a person or an object is idolatry. Adoration is meant for God and Him alone. No one – not even an angel is worthy of God-like adoration. Satan tried to steal the praise meant for God by trafficking or taking a cut of it for himself. Eze. 28:15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you. 16a Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned.
This sinful act made Satan a corrupted, power hungry, fallen angel with egoistic and lustful cravings to the point of sinful insanity. Isa. 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. What gall the devil had to think he could overpower God who created him in the first place. What a loser.
Who is worthy of adoration? Not the devil who kills, robs, and destroys, but rather God who gives life and gives it abundantly through love. The Lord saves, heals, forgives, and restores our lives with the promise of a blessed eternity, living with Him in the fullness of His love. God chose love for us even when we did not love or want Him. Rom. 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. What more can God do for us to demonstrate His love? He chose to love us before we accepted His perfect gift – Christ crucified. Yes, He is worthy to be praised and deserves all the adoration that can ever come out of our heart.
We live in a fleeting world of frivolous stuff and ideologies. Nailing something down that has real life-giving substance is becoming difficult to find and even recognized when it does come by. God’s love and promises have maintained the integrity from the beginning of creation. We can count on all God has said to mankind because it is God saying it. He does not lie. 2 Cor. 1:20 For all the promises of God are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him, our “Amen” is spoken to the glory of God.
A soul being saved through the sacrifice of Jesus’ life given on the cross is still a mighty miracle that is beyond our understanding. Only God can give us the miracle of this incredible new life in God. Your soul or my soul accepting Jesus as our Lord is an incredible miracle, because we know where we came from before we met Christ the Lord. Honesty makes us clearly say we were headed for a no win, death-ridden eternity. We were utterly lost and dead in our sins. Give Jesus the adoration due Him for all He has done for us. Lord Jesus, “I adore you and I thank you for the love you have lavished on me.” Amen!

I was thinking about this blog after I wrote it. What is God's forgiveness worth? It really depends on our heart's condition. Luke 7:47 So I tell you that all her sins are forgiven, and that is why she has shown great love. But anyone who has been forgiven for only a little will show only a little love.– Lord God, thank you for all you have done in me. I adore you with a full heart because you have forgiven much in me.
