Proverbs 8:8 All the words from my mouth are righteous; none of them are deceptive or perverse.
There has been no lack of conspiracy theories during the last few months during these everchanging world events. We have heard everything from the downright absurd to the absolute stupid coming forth from so-called reliable sources. The disturbing trend is the number of conspiracy theories circulating within Christian circles. Isa. 8:11 For the LORD spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying: 12 Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread.
Saints, we are to be informed in life and bring our concerns to God in prayer but not to take part in the promotion and the reposting on every media platform the fear-filled theories that you have no idea of the source from where they came or the agendas of those who posted them in the first place. This is ignorance gone to seed. It is a form of gossip on a national scale. God does not talk this way. He does not sow fear into the hearts of His people. Prov. 8:8 All the words from my mouth are righteous; none of them are deceptive or perverse.
I can start a conspiracy theory at this very moment – and here it is. This whole pandemic was started by the big plastic companies who were losing market share because all governments were implementing laws to bring in paper bag use only. This must be true because plastic has made such a comeback during this pandemic. Oh please! Stop with all the conspiracy theories. Saints, If the idiot theory I just wrote ever makes its way out there online, I apologize to you in advance for inventing it.
All conspiracy theories are rooted in the very first one that was deceptively pulled off on mankind. We read in the book of Genesis the encounter Eve had with the serpent in the garden of Eden. The Devil sold Eve on the lie that there was a conspiracy going on in heaven to keep her in the dark. Gen. 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
We all know the sad result of Eve believing the hoax Satan used to betray mankind. Like all conspiracy theories, the ones who start them up can say whatever they want without having to prove them with evidence or facts. Satan just brought his contaminated conspiracy to Adam and Eve and they – in effect, just reposted it for all mankind to buy into. We can see this trend written throughout the bible as history went on.
In the book of Numbers, the ten spies started a conspiracy theory that the giants in the land of Canaan could never be beaten. In the book of Esther, Haman creates a conspiracy saying that the king had a certain ethnic group of people in his realm who were not for the king. Est. 3:8 Then Haman approached King Xerxes and said, “There is a certain race of people scattered through all the provinces of your empire who keep themselves separate from everyone else. Their laws are different from those of any other people, and they refuse to obey the laws of the king. So it is not in the king’s interest to let them live. This sure sounds like some of the stuff we are hearing today.
We are not of the spirit of this world. Our walk in the faith is not to promote fear and uncertainty. That is what the world does on a continual basis and that is why they are trapped in the cycle of their fear-filled existence and spoken subterfuge. Prov. 6:2 You have been snared by the words of your mouth trapped by the words from your mouth. We who are in Christ, have a more sure evidentiary word of purity to draw on and live by. Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.
We don’t need to promote the ideas of these pathological fear-mongers who have lost their way in the world of their own making. We are citizens of the kingdom of God, and we are seated in heavenly places. Eph. 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. On that basis of our position in Christ, let us debunk the stupidity and speak of our saviour, who alone, can save all mankind from their fears, superstitions, and sins. All deliverance for all of life is found in Christ. Amen!
