Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.
There are a lot of self-proclaimed gurus, life coaches, and mind-altering advisors these days vying for our attention. They claim we can create a guaranteed formula to attract, bring forth, and acquire anything we want by sending forth constant repetitions of positive energy. Anyone who knows me understands that I am totally on board with being positive in all we do and live by. I firmly believe we need to have an optimistic outlook within our lives, and we need to be positive as we move forward toward the life God gave us. However, without all the mental gymnastics that are being offered through multiple online courses, books and videos, wouldn’t it be wise to do as the Lord says and believe His word of deliverance? Mark 11:24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
Those who are in Christ, have the best teacher there is when it comes to asking and believing for the endless needs within our lives. The fact that Jesus said, “We would do greater things than He did,” should give us enthusiastic hope that God is the one to go to and receive what we need to live a complete life. John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. This is the best day of our life because we walk with the Lord who makes intercession for us in all that we do and need. Rom. 8:34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
Many self-help teachers have developed good techniques for staying positive in a negative world. But, we have a relationship with the very creator of the world. Why go to earthly tutors when we personally know the Master of the universe? We can live the best day of our life because the Lord is leading us by grace into the fullness of His infinite plan for our eternal lives. God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. We have real hope for the day we are living in, and that makes this day the best day of our life.
According to God, the best day of my life is the one I am living through at the moment. Psalm 118:24 This is the day the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. If we are aware of our existence, then truly, in this momentary time we are in, we had better be invested in knowing our God and His love for us. We had better know the power of righteousness, faith, and the authority that we possess through Christ. Knowing who we are in Christ, will assure us that when we declare the word of the Lord, there is true holy substance proceeding from our hearts. Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
The best day of my life is the day the Lord has made for my eternal calling to be fulfilled and walked in today. If we are walking with God then there is nothing better or more to attain in this world than the anointing of the Lord upon our lives. To live a life free of all the entrapments of the world system and be able to focus on the delights of God’s kingdom is a blessing most will never see or acquire by repetitiously saying everything wished for. Matt. 6:7 And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
If we are going to attract, bring forth, and acquire blessings for living on earth, then let us do as the word says to bring the fulfilment of life. Let us concentrate on the God-inspired thoughts that will bring honest help to this lost world. Phil. 4:8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. The true reward of thinking about these things is real peace which in turn gives us the best day of our life. When we become rested in the salvation God has given us through Christ, we will also become satisfied with the leading of the Holy Spirit who will guide us into all truth.
Once we have the truth fully alive within our souls we have it all. For the fact that Jesus said, “He is the way, the truth, and the life… and this same Jesus lives in our hearts, then we have everything. This truly is the best day of our life.
