Proverbs 4:24 Don’t let your mouth speak dishonestly, and don’t let your lips talk deviously.
What is an anti-witness? In the context of righteousness, anyone or anything that speaks contrary to what God says is true. The world is awash in every imaginable anti-God message there is, and if there is a declaration of what God wants, the statements are often peppered with the organization’s bias. Then, they push their agendas across the nation, wanting everyone to eat their leavened bread. 1John 2:18 Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the last hour has come.
The thousands of books and theories of how the antichrist will show up on the scene are endless. The point is that the anti-witness has always been here and is here to stay. As long as there are human beings on this earth, there will always be sin, and there will always be the deadly results of sin. Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. The Anti-God message will continue to be a factor in our lives. This is why we need a saviour to deliver us from ourselves, and the self-righteousness we proclaim through all the theories and religions man has created from the beginning of time.
It is to be expected that the naysayers are saying exactly what the scripture says they would say. 2Pet. 3:3 Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. 4 They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.” The subtlety in the words “Everything has remained the same since the world was first created.” is the lie people are falling for. The truth is that Jesus has come to save souls, and through Him, there is a way out of the perpetual stagnation of living in sin.
We must be born again, and that can only happen through Jesus Christ the Lord. There is no other way or name under heaven to be saved. Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Everything else is an anti-witness to the salvation plan God has provided to mankind. Why were the common folk, some Romans, and Greeks interested in what Jesus had to say? John 12:20 Now some Greeks were among those who went up to worship at the festival. 21 So they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested of him, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.” These people lived in a time of multiple gods. Over time, they knew deep down there was no use praying to a manmade god because help from above never came. These people existed within their circumstances and accepted their fate in life. Then Jesus comes along and says that there is help from above, plus the Heavenly Father from above loves them. Jesus proves this fact day by day, through all the miracles and wonders He is doing through His Heavenly Father. Jesus exposes all the other god’s inability to do anything in the same power that Jesus is living in.
The Lord has the answer regardless of race, nationality or creed. Jesus was and still is the way to our Heavenly Father who loves us. This has not changed to this day. The human race is still looking for a way back to redemption, which may help explain the spiritual awakening throughout the world and showing up on every media platform there is. Scammers and schemers are offering an anti-witness methodology for the salvation of our souls. Prov. 4:24 Don’t let your mouth speak dishonestly, and don’t let your lips talk deviously. It is more than just offering people another way than the gift God gave us through Christ. It is the practising of witchcraft but disguised in a polite modern manner. Jesus said that we are with Him, or against Him, no in between. Luke 11:23 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
The extraordinary amount of modern soothsayers who believe they are helping our lives become better through numerology, astrology, tarot cards, spirit guides, ancient philosophy and atheistic bunk proves our need for a saviour. We know deep down we need something or someone better than the artificial peace the world is offering for the low low price of what one is willing to pay. We need God’s peace and redemption to heal our hearts, not another spiritual scam. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.
The anti-witness also needs to be born again so that they too can have eternal life. The love and eternal gift of the Lord can break every yoke that binds mankind – even witchcraft. Let us keep praying for each other and learn to be true witnesses to God’s redemptive message by saying only what God says is true. We need to stop adding all the erroneous teachings that have no validity or power in the Lord. The message is: Jesus is Lord, and He will deliver His people through faith in His gift of eternal life.
