Sinners Sin

Proverbs 14:16 A wise man fears and departs from evil, But a fool rages and is self-confident.

What is all the hoopla about? Why are people raging rather than praying about government legislation allowing the different types of sinners to live out their sin. Sinners sin, that is what they do. Prayer changes things, not angry slogans. Honest love and intercession change hearts, not acrimonious debates. Sinners have always sinned and will always sin. If you would take a moment and remember your own lives before you asked Christ to be the Lord of your life, you will recall that you sinned a whole lot and that was the nature of your soul. Gal. 6:8 For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Sinners are doing what they do best, they sin. This is why God asks us to pray for one another so that He can do His will within us. Phil. 2:13 For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. God asks us to pray for the government official for the same reason and more. 1 Tim. 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Go ahead a write your government official if that is driving your mind right now, but don’t spew out all your anger on them; rather, let them know that you are praying for them to do the best they can and that God would lead them in their decisions. If you do that then you will have fulfilled the word of God and put the official in God’s hands to be judged righteously, just the way you would like God to judge you. Out of that heart action and obedience the peace of God will rule your heart and bring the peace of being able to live in peace and godliness.
What made Jesus different than the ministers in Israel when Jesus walked the earth? He loved them and people wanted to be around him. The Pharisees, Sadducees and Herodians had all taken political positions on righteousness and were trying to legislate holiness that they could not keep themselves. Jesus dealt with the true issues of the day. Sin that was causing a rift between them and their God. Jesus did this with the love of God. Acts 10:38 God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
What has changed? We who are in Christ, are to be doing the same thing. We are to go around doing good and healing all who are under the power of the devil because God is with us. I don’t think that means to post your seething hatred in comment forums on Facebook and all the other media sites that are available to you. Remember, sinners sin. That is what they do.
It is the Holy Spirit that will convict the world of righteousness, sin and judgment; not you. John 16:8 And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. My job is to love the sinner and hate the sin. My mission is to embrace the unlovable and hate the garments of their bondage. Jude 1:23 Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.
We were never called or asked by God to hate the sinner but only the sins that have corrupted this world. Just because a group of sinners votes in an unrighteous law does not make the sin acceptable or a present truth in God’s eyes. During Noah’s lifetime, the whole earth voted on living in an existence of debauchery. Noah and God were the majority and what God said was the truth of the matter. It did not matter what laws the sinful had legislated; God’s truth prevailed and will always prevail. Prov. 21:30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.
Join me in praying for the people who think that by changing the laws to suit their sin of choice will make them happy and peacefully fulfilled. We know it won’t. At the end of their empty war they will still need salvation and Christ will be there for them. Let us pray for our leaders who have very difficult jobs trying to appease all types of agendas inspired by the enemy of our soul.

We can do a lot more than feud on a media site. We can actually bring a real righteous change by doing what Christ has asked us to do and that is pray. Matt. 9:38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. 1 Tim. 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.  When we start to do this God will give us the strategy as to how to help the lost. God bless you all.

Spiritually Empty

Proverbs 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.              Who are the ones living their spiritual lives on empty? I've noticed that those who break God's laws regularly tend to fall apart when times go bad. They just seem...
