Proverbs 16:23 The heart of the wise makes his mouth intelligent, and upon his lips increases learning.

      Dear Ann
      I have this problem.
Every significant problem I have ever solved in my Christian life came as a result of finding the answer in the word of God, then applying my faith and many times the faith of others to the challenge or problem. Why do we wait and go looking for God, last of all, to figure out what to do about the pickle we sometimes find ourselves in? I know that it makes for good network ratings – all of the Dr. Phil type tabloid programming, but do these dumb-down servings of milky-toast psychobabble actually help anyone? I do not know. 1 Tim. 6:20 Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge.

Grant it, if a person does not have anything other than a TV to get their souls fed, then I reckon Dr. Phil will have to do. However, if we are blood-washed children of the most high God then we are blessed to be able to go to the Spirit of wisdom directly. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him. Thank God we have the King of kings and the Lord of lords, guiding us to an expected good result on a daily and personal level. Rom. 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God before us, who can be against us.

Ann Landers stated that the majority of the letters she received asking for help had to do with fearfulness in their situation. Most often the first thing said in the bible when people had an angelic or Godly encounter was “Fear not.” Isa. 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

The majority of our problems are fear rooted. Most of the time we keep talking about what we are afraid of and we keep enforcing it with our words and actions. God’s inspired idea is for us to say what God says about what we are encountering and to use our faith in Christ to win the battle over the fearful thing by speaking God’s anointed word. Eph. 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

We are to use the word of God as our weapon of choice so that our hearts can be filled with the wisdom of God and break the yoke of bondage in our lives and the lives of others. Someone said, “The chains of habit are too light to be felt until they’re too heavy to be broken.” The word of God can break every bad habit and fear there is when faith in the word of God is used and believed in. We just have to start doing it, no matter how awkward it seems.
We live in a negative and wounded world. All the clever and pithy sayings to help relieve the hardships in life are not faith-filled, but most often said in a deprecating humorous way. These worldly and sullied confessions keep well-meaning people stuck and struggling through life as they go along moaning these words, “Why does this always happen to me?” We physically and consciously must rise up in heart and say what God is saying about our health, wealth, and state of being in Christ our Lord.
Prov. 16:23 The heart of the wise makes his mouth intelligent, and upon his lips increases learning. When the word of God is proceeding from our lips, our hearts are increasing in learning what God says about our situation. If we do speak God’s word, by faith, into our circumstances, It will not be long before we are living in the fulfillment of what God’s word said is actual and true about our everyday Christian lives.
Living a blessed life will be compromised when continual fear and unbelief are the expressed words from our lips. The word of God is the truth about our life, but we must confess it and act upon it as if fully done. Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
If we are having a difficult time obtaining wealth or paying off debt, then let us say what the Lord says about our blessing if we receive it. Deut. 28:8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou set thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God gives thee. Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure — pressed down, shaken together, and running over — will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
If we are struggling with health problems, then let us proclaim what the word that God says is ours to receive. 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers. 1 Pet. 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Psalm 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
The problems we are suffering from and trying to conquer in our lives are factual; they are real, and they exist. There is no denying that, but the truth of God’s living word is more real and can overcome fact. The word of the Lord has more power and deliverance for our present reality of any situation we find ourselves in. That is the place we have to grow and mature toward.
Are there trials and tribulations? Yes! Are there victories and the love of God working on our behalf? Yes, and much more. So why not focus on the victory ahead and the blessing to come. God’s word is righteous and eternally set for us all. Why not practice the presence of the word in our life? Don’t bother sending Ann Landers or any of her contemporaries a letter asking for help that will never arrive.
Let us put God’s word on our lips and see the goodness of the Lord work a good work in our living souls. Amen. Isa. 55:11 So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

There Is No Hate Like Christian Hate

Proverbs 6:16 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to Him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, 19 a lying witness who gives false...

Anger Is Expensive

A Useful Idiot

The Low Hum Of Dread

Joshua 2:10 For we have heard how the LORD dried up the waters of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites across the Jordan, whom you devoted to destruction. 11 When we heard this, our hearts...

That’s A Lot Of Faith

Acts 19:19 Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totalled fifty thousand pieces of silver.         When God gets hold of a person's heart, there is...

Christianism Falls Short
