Luke 15:14 About the time his money ran out, a great famine swept over the land, and he began to starve. 15 He persuaded a local farmer to hire him, and the man sent him into his fields to feed the pigs. 16 The young man became so hungry that even the husks he was feeding the pigs looked good to him. But no one gave him anything.
If I cannot talk with God on a day that I have sinned, then when can I talk with Him to ask for His help? Because lonely is the place that finds me faithless, and lonely is the place that finds me living in sin. Heb. 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. We need to know that in Christ there is forgiveness no matter what sin we have taken part in. There needs to be a heartfelt realization that if we come up short, miss the mark, or fall into sin we have the grace to approach our Heavenly Father so that we can repent and be forgiven completely. Our understanding of God’s gift of repentance has to come forth as an assurance that brings hope to us when we honestly repent.
Lonely are the people who do not believe they can be forgiven of the sin that haunts them. Why is it, that some people believe others can be forgiven for the terrible things they have done, but cannot forgive themselves or believe that God can forgive their sins and trespasses? What is this lonely place they have chosen to live in? Why is this self-condemnation so prevalent in people’s hearts and where does it come from? The pride of the heart is a deceptive serpent that squeezes the hope out of one’s soul. I know that the enemy of our soul will hurl accusations and condemn people of the sins they took part in, but even louder is the voice of God who says there is forgiveness for all who come to Him with a repentant heart. 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The world is full of lonely people overwhelmed by different types of forsakenness. There are those in a loveless marriage who are lonelier than those who are longing for a relationship and to be in a marriage. Many single people think that marriage will solve their melancholic loneliness. We can be lonely while being with someone in our life, and lonely because there is no one in our life. Psalm 142:4 Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul. I think loneliness in a marriage is harder to live with because the lonely person feels companionless while the other spouse is sitting across the table, resulting in some to have traded the lost intimacy of a spouse, for the company of a website.
The people who have traded in their relationships for the connections to a website are no different than the Prodigal Son who found himself starving for life and sustenance. Luke 15:16 The young man became so hungry that even the husks he was feeding the pigs looked good to him. But no one gave him anything. No one online or in the system of life gave the Prodigal anything of substance. He found himself in a friendless place of desperation. Lonely is the place where our souls have traded God’s guidance for the world’s system of taking the very essence of life from anyone who has subscribed to their venue.
I believe one of the cures to overcome the feelings of being alone and isolated (even when you are with a group of people) is to cut down and in some cases cut out completely the time spent on social forums. The time lost to the different platforms of media is time that one can never get back. This valuable time could have been given to reading books, creating art, learning to play a musical instrument, becoming skilled at the use of tools that can build architectural dreams, and developing real relationships. Prov. 18:24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
I do not know if this is the beginning of a trend, but I have spoken to a few people who like myself, have removed every news channel there is from their social platforms. I have removed every political commentator from all of my feeds. Most importantly to me, I have removed all the fear-mongering ministries that state in a roundabout way – that if a certain political candidate is not voted for on the ballot, chances are, I am going to hell. All of these empty sound bytes creating a lonely place in my life are being removed. On top of being our Lord and Saviour, Jesus said that He is our friend, and has asked us to take His yoke and work with Him in the trenches of life. Matt. 11:30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. The Lord promises us that He will never leave us nor forsake us in the loneliness and covetness of this age. Heb. 13:5 Let your manner of life be without covetousness, being satisfied with the present; for He Himself has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.
Let us be sad no more, by coming home and embracing the Father’s heart and the love that He has for us. Let us turn the lonely places of existence into the living blessings of our God. Happy is the man whose sins are forgiven, Happy is that man!

Amen. Clearing out the “noise”makes way to hear His voice, and with Him we are never alone. I left social media almost 4 years ago, and it has made a huge difference in my spirit and how I spend my time.
I did something similar.
Last year I removed every news channel in the world from my TV app stick.
I have had more peace in my heart and uninterrupted time to write and read more than I have in years.
