Psalm 26:1 Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering. 2 Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind.
The world that we live in is awash in judgments coming at us continually and from every side of life. These judgments that are brought against us can be harsh and devastating or at times can be complementary, but most of the time very critical. No matter what the harm or results are, we are judged upon first impressions, for what we do for a living, and often for those we vote for in a free and democratic country. The judgment of society is always at work and takes no time off from its finger-pointing.
We are told not to judge a book by its cover, and yet we do it continually. God instructs us not to judge one another, but we often break this law without remorse. Matt. 7:1 Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. It doesn’t seem to matter to our conscience that, to the degree we judge and accuse others with our anger on display, we will be judged with the same exactness of degree. Yet, we judge anyway. For some reason, we think that our opinion of someone’s behaviour needs to be posted on every imaginable media platform there is.
I do not know why the fear of God does not persuade us not to judge others. Maybe Satan is working overtime on that temptation because he knows when we fall in that area we become calloused of heart, and we easily start compromising our integrity and falling into other sins that we unwisely judge to be of low consequence. Even though the Word of God is clear that the wages of sin are death, judging others comes easily to our thoughts. Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The reward for not sinning in the areas of contemptible judgments is a blessed life of peace that Christ gives us.
Therefore, to the whole judgment system and everyone involved in it, I throw myself on the altar of public opinion, and I say, “Go ahead and judge me.” I am an epistle read of men and because of the work God is doing within me I stand firm in God’s love and His regenerating salvation that is transforming my soul from glory to glory as He works His infinite plan within my heart. Psalm 26:2 Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind. I stand on the goodness of God and what He has done in my life. 2Cor. 3:2 You are our epistle, having been inscribed in our hearts, being known and being read by all men. Since most of humanity will judge me anyway, go ahead and judge me, and analyze what you read from my life. I believe by the mercies of God, you will read a victory story written with the blood of Jesus and by Christ’s grace I will stand the burning judgmental fires of human contempt.
King David understood that God’s judgment counted when it came to being judged, and it was God that David needed to please through obedience. Psalm 26:1 Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering. 2 Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind. Go ahead Lord, and test me. Go ahead Father God, and judge me, because within your judgment there is mercy. When God is judging our hearts, there is mercy, grace, and the opportunity to repent. Mankind is not as gracious. Man tends to deliver final and harsh judgments that can never be repented of even if one was to sacrifice his or her life.
We can see this taking place when the mob railed against Jesus as He suffered and was nailed to the torturous cross. Matt. 27:39 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads 40 and saying, “You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!” 41 In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him. No Saints! There was not much mercy extended towards the Lord of Glory who is the only one who did not deserve the treatment that society and the social media groups lashed out upon Him. The Lord said that if they treated Him in hate, then it would be the same for those who accept Him as Lord, and walk within His salvation plan for our lives. John 15:21 But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know Him who sent me.
Therefore, I stand in Christ’s righteousness and say, “Go ahead, and judge me.” If you find something contrary to what God says is acceptable then I will repent. If you accuse me of being a Christian, then I accept the accusation because I am a Christian who has been washed in the cleansing blood of Jesus. Yes, I am an epistle read of men, and men will read what is there or what they want to see. Therefore, I remain an open book so that perhaps Christ may be seen even if it is for a moment or two. At the end of my days let it be said that I had been tested and approved in Christ and the Lord says, “Well done, for living in Christ’s righteousness.” Matt. 25:23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful over a few things; I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your master!‘

Amen. Thank you. With eyes and heart on God, we won’t fear what anyone says or thinks. That is what holds us back.
I love this. Dying to the fear of man has been my life goal for the past 5 years. Let me be content to be thought crazy so long as I walk in obedience to my Father!
Good call Paige. I agree with your thought.
