Galatians 1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a curse!
Christianism generally refers to the use of Christian principles as a political ideology. This is why Christianism does not save souls; it only rallies people around self-righteous principles, and most often, the misinterpreted principles are being promoted through a political movement. Christianism screams for prayer in schools, but the ones who are screaming rarely have a prayer life, nor are they praying with the children in the said schools. Christianism wants the Ten Commandments plastered on everything, even though those who are in the movement do not follow the commandments. Christianism does not have Christ as its foundation; it is a movement run by Syncretists looking for political identity.
Jesus said that many would come disguised as the saviour, and say that He could be found here and there. Matt. 24:23 At that time, if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive even the elect, if that were possible. Our salvation does not come through a political party, an educational system, or membership in a secret society; salvation comes only through Christ and Him alone. Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. The term Christian principles does not necessarily mean Christ is active in that principle; it has come to mean that the principal thoughts agreed upon can socially go forward and fulfill a need within a cause.
If we want a relationship with God the Father, He says that we need to accept His gift of salvation that comes through God the Son. Jesus Christ alone has given us His righteousness for all our sins and iniquities. 2Cor. 5:21 God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. God’s complete sozo cannot come through a movement run by men who have not consecrated their hearts to the Lord. Can I be a Christ follower and be involved in helping a nation meet the needs of the people? Yes, absolutely, because we all want an environment of peace and the ability to move forward in bringing equality in life. Knowing the difference between what is labelled Christian and what is a relationship with God is what gives us the understanding to live as righteous citizens while we try to get along with each other as best as we can. Rom. 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
There is a difference between living a life fully in a relationship with Christ the Saviour and being part of a movement that incorporates Christian ideological principles. Christianism is law without the spirit of grace or the mercy that God expects of us for one another. Mic. 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? A political movement cannot answer the Lord’s question, ‘What does the LORD require of you?’ because the movement changes its direction and its values, becoming compromised, as the power of being in control shifts.
The kingdom of God cannot bless the activity of Babylon. These are two opposite kingdoms at work within the world. We cannot serve, give our hearts, and live under the authority of God and mammon simultaneously. We cannot serve God and worship Babylon, expecting God’s blessing to be poured out on us. Matt. 6:24 No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Trying to dovetail the grace of God with the systems of Babylon will only give us an offspring of an Ishmach, neither an Isaac nor an Ishmael. We want a covenant with God, and not with a system. Christianism falls short and is a dead end when it comes to the answers of salvation. Jesus is Lord, and we are His followers. We need to know the difference and live accordingly. Heb. 6:3 And this we will do, if God may permit.
