Be Do Have

Proverbs 22:19 That thy trust may be in the LORD.

If only I could have that new car, then I would be able to do this work, then I would be happy. If only I could have that money, then I would buy this thing, then I would be happy. If only, If only, If only I could have!

This world is rotating on an axis of dissatisfaction as we are listening to a constant tune of, “If only I could have, then I would do, then I would be!” We have this totally backward.
We were created as human-beings and not human-doings.
If I be in Christ, then I will know what to do, then I will have His peace that I am looking for and will not be looking at all the things that are offered as replacements for God Himself.” John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Clarke’s Commentary 1. Be united to Christ – if ye abide in me. 2. That in order to be preserved in this union, we must have our lives regulated by the doctrine of Christ – and my words abide in you.
If I be united to Christ through the finished work of the cross I will do His will and have His life ever abounding in me. Prov. 3 26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
I was created to be a son of God in order to do His will so that I could have a relationship with Him eternally. The enemy’s agenda for our soul is to sow dissatisfaction and yearning for anything other than a pure relationship with Christ our Lord. John 10:10  The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
If I just be in Christ, then my soul’s compass will always point to His will and I will have His guidance to get there.
