Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Those who have found themselves easily adjusting to chaos, led by unfulfilling trends, and the constant seeking of comfort, have also found that they have given up their will and ability to think critically. They have given their thoughts over to the crowd. Once the crowd owns your willingness to please it, you will be dancing for the fiddler forever. When reading the book of Revelation, the agenda of those who want control over the masses is to control people’s inner desires, minds, and the choice of deity one worships. These autocrats will not be happy with controlling the world and everyone’s ability to buy and sell; they will want everyone’s minds and wills to be conformed to their supreme ethos, even though their core values are built on insanity. Rev. 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
How does the heart of man, including those of church members, become so complacent in the scheme of a worldwide dictatorship? I think one of the methods that Satan uses to dull the hearts of men is making everyone comfortable and lazy. As the saying goes, ‘Comfort is where caution goes to die.’ When a church assembly aligns itself with a political party, it can no longer be trusted to minister the truth of Christ’s gospel. Political leaders always muddy the truth and influence congregants of Christian denominations to overlook the sinful activities of their governance, thus turning ordinary church folk into protesters of political causes rather than being the voices of the Lord’s righteousness to overcome sin. Jesus said that the reason He came was to bring us the truth as well as to save mankind from sin. John 18:37b For this purpose I was born, and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.
A question we need to ask: Is the modern-day church inspiring to build a better world by praying and believing that the kingdom of God will come and rule, or are we being taught that there is nothing better coming along; therefore, we exist in an insipid hope of wanting the rapture to come and get us the heck out of here? We have become accustomed to the most ludicrous lies told by national leaders, even though few people believe them; they adjust to the chaos while the kakistocracy continues to run the nations as if the lies are accepted truths. I am perplexed as to why people in the church willfully continue to believe these self-proclaimed messiahs’ false doctrines. Clearly, the word says not to trust in the arm of man, and yet people put their full hope and trust into these posers of righteousness. Jer. 17:5 This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD.
This chosen amathia towards God’s truth is ruining relationships with God and mankind. How have those who were once understanding and even stoic of heart become sloths and followers of nonsense? The once-faithful guards of righteous integrity have slipped away to align themselves with political dogma that has no ethical basis. What is the endgame? What are the leaders, manipulators, and influencers of governments around the world counting on, and why do they seduce the church as they go about their exclusivism and racist agendas? History shows that once the church is involved in so-called righteous cleansing, we end up with the crusades, the Inquisition, witch-hunts, slavery and segregation, during which the organized religions prospered immensely. Rom. 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. What creeping things are creeping into our hearts today?
The danger of continuing to walk the path that many have lost their way upon becomes a desperation that builds up within them to be found. This can make many vulnerable to hitching their wagons to any idiot or fool who says they can lead them to the promised land. We do not want to adjust to chaos; we want to be led by the Lord and Him only. Yes, we do live in a world with governments and rules to follow, but we do not need to become so adjusted to chaos that anything said by the godless is God-sent. We do not want compromising lifestyles, no matter what arrangements are made in the name of Christian politics or any political promise of major payouts, which are usually the reasons for the integration of church involvement in politics. Stop buying the rhetoric of manipulative lies. Rom. 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
My understanding of why God asks us to pray for our leaders is so we can live in peace. Peace is our reward for obeying these verses. 1Tim. 2:1 Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. The governments of the world will never be able to deliver on righteous living because righteous government does not come out of self-righteousness. The human condition will dictate the flow of sinful choices to pick from, and the governments will accommodate that trait to get the votes. Peace is what we are looking for, and we will not find it in flawed people who claim to have all the answers to our woes. Jesus said He is the way, the truth, and the life. We would be wise to believe Him and hitch our hearts to His gift of eternal life. I do not believe the Lord wants us to adjust to mayhem, but rather, to realign our hearts in overcoming chaos and living in His salvation, which is a gift of God, and not something found by joining a club.
Our reasonable service as Christ’s followers is to offer ourselves to God for His use. Rom. 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. If we keep our focus on Christ the Lord, our hearts will not be drawn away by the machinations of the deceivers of our day. If you are a Christ follower and sense a calling to leadership, whether ecclesiastical, national or secular state legislation, then lead as Christ instructs you to do so. Playing politics with God’s love is wrong, and we all know it. Therefore, be who God created you to be and be the best version of who that is. Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. We can do all things through Christ, but we need to want to do them His way; then the peace of God that passes understanding will be our portion and guard our hearts.
