Ezekiel 28:18 By the multitude of your iniquities, with the injustice of your trading, you have profaned your holy places. And I have brought forth fire from your midst; it has devoured you, and I have given you to ashes upon the earth, before the eyes of all those looking at you!
Don’t be saved and waste your calling by not being intentional concerning the transformation Christ created in your heart, and don’t let a fool like Satan write your story. Satan is subject to God’s laws and is sometimes a useful idiot who shows everyone through his machinations what his strategy is, and what the hearts of men are susceptible to becoming. Job 1:7 The LORD said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.” Yes, that’s what Satan does; he walks the earth seeking whom he can destroy by causing a chasm between man and God. The temptations of Satan only work on man; God does not bite nor can He be tempted. Therefore, if Christ is living in one’s heart, we have a Godly source within us capable of defeating the devil.
The devil also looks for those who are weak in their faith or going through difficult life challenges. The devil looks for people who only talk about prayer and the rituals of a religious life but are not actively pursuing what the Lord asks of them. These people talk about God but do not respect God. 2Tim. 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Many of these religious pretenders hardly ever get the chance to live and experience the resurrection power of the Lord.
The power of the resurrection was hidden in Christ and kept secret from Satan. As odd as it sounds, Satan became a useful idiot by provoking the crucifixion of the Lord. Had the rulers of darkness known what would happen once Jesus rose from the dead, they would never have incited the crowd to scream “Crucify Him!” 1Cor. 2:8 None of the rulers of this age understood it. For if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. The enemy of God’s creation was hellbent on destroying Jesus, but could not see the wisdom of God that would come through the crucifixion.
The mood must have been ominous as the first stirrings of infinite holy power started to seep into the very domain of Satan and his fallen angelic sycophants’ minds. As the reality of the resurrection was taking place and rendering all demonic power of no effect, Satan must have looked like the complete loser he truly is. As all the devils of hell looked at him and judged his plan to kill God the Son as an abject failure, Satan would have felt the glare of hatred, because there is no love in hell. Eze. 28:18b And I have brought forth fire from your midst; it has devoured you, and I have given you to ashes upon the earth, before the eyes of all those looking at you!
And now, not only did the devils have Jesus to deal with again, they had anyone who accepted Jesus as Lord to fight in the same power and capacity as the Lord of glory. They had caused God’s plan of salvation to give those who were in Christ to have authority over the devils of hell just as Jesus had. Luke 10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. The devil may come across as a force of strength and sometimes speak in a sermonic tone, but as far as life goes, he has nothing to say that is of righteous value. The devil is a great pretender and a blaggard who was defeated at the cross of Jesus the Lord.
We know the Word of God says that all things work to the good of our lives if we let God turn the mess into a victory. Rom. 8:28 And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. We will run into problems in life, and a lot of the problems will be caused by idiots who meant harm, and some who just messed up. Idiot means ‘ unskilled’ or ‘ignorant’. This is what the devil is when it comes to the illumination of the Word of God. Satan and his crew are idiots who cannot discern righteous scripture. We, who are in Christ, have been given the power and understanding of scripture. May we become skilled in the Word of God so that we live righteous and peaceful lives that give glory to God the Father.
